Climate Action Program
The goal of Winter Park's Climate Action Program is to implement effective mitigation strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while also instituting adaptation and resilience measures. The Town's first Greenhouse Gas Inventory will identify key sectors and sources to guide the development of the Climate Action Plan. This plan will prioritize buildings and transportation sectors while also focusing on natural carbon stock—investing in nature-based solutions to enhance the ecosystem and deliver long-term, local emissions reductions. The Town of Winter Park advocates for climate policy at the state level with Colorado Communities for Climate Action and sponsors Protect Our Winters to support climate education and advocacy efforts. Together, these efforts will help Winter Park build a sustainable and resilient future.
