When you think about Downtown Winter Park; what do you love about it? And what would you improve? That’s what the Town of Winter Park is currently asking community members.
Creating a Downtown Plan is a major focus for the Town in 2019, which kicked off earlier this summer. When complete, the plan will outline future Downtown improvements to make it an all-season destination for everyone. As part of the first phase of plan development, the Town is seeking public feedback through a short Visual Preferences Survey.
Survey responses will be used to better understand the character of Downtown and what community members would like to see in the future. The survey can be taken through August 5th at www.surveymonkey.com/r/WPdowntownvisualpref. Any additional comments can be sent to the project manager, Mara Owen, at mowen@wpgov.com.
Engagement for the Downtown Plan launched at the June 20th High-Note Concert series where the planning team collected opinions on Downtown design elements, what places people love, what can be improved, where they park, etc. Beyond the online visual preferences survey, two more opportunities for engagement will take place before late fall.
