Interested in Running?

Nomination petitions to run for Town Council are available for pick-up at the Town Clerk's Office (50 Vasquez Road) beginning January 6, 2026. They are due back to the Town Clerk's Office by 5 p.m. on January 26, 2026.

Key Dates:

    • January 6 - Time begins for nomination packets to be circulated and signed. Starting here, petition packets can be picked up in Winter Park Town Hall. Nomination petitions must be signed by at least 10 voters registered in Winter Park.
    • January 13 - Attend Winter Park 101 to speak to current councilors, learn more about how the Town operates, and hear a Town Council Panel.
    • January 26 - Deadline to turn in completed nomination petitions.
    • February 2 - Last day to amend nomination petitions or withdraw from nomination.
    • March 9 - Candidates must submit their financial disclosure report.
    • April 7 - Election Day - all ballots must be submitted by 7 p.m.
    • April 21 - First Town Council meeting with new members.

When is Election Day?

Polls will be open in Town Hall, 50 Vasquez Road between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Absentee Ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Election Day.

Your voice matters on a local, state, and national level! Winter Park’s municipal election will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 and four Town Council members will be elected. Three 4-year terms are open along with one 2-year term.

While Grand County sends ballots in the mail, the Town of Winter Park's elections are conducted through in-person voting. The polling place will be Winter Park Town Hall, 50 Vasquez Road in the Council Chambers between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on April 7. Ballots will not be mailed for the April 7 election.

Absentee Ballots and Information

If you need to pick up an absentee ballot application, please call Town Clerk, Dani Jardee at 970-726-8081 ext. 208 or email to set up an appointment djardee@wpgov.com.

If dropping off an absentee ballot in the ballot box, come into Town Hall and do so! All absentee ballots must be turned in by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
