The Town of Granby will be transitioning its building permitting services from the Town of Winter Park to its own Building Department through the end of 2025 and into 2026. This change is designed to enhance service accessibility and provide better support for local development projects in Granby and Winter Park. There will be no interruption to permitting or inspection services, and both Winter Park and Granby staff will remain available throughout the transition to answer questions and provide assistance. Contact information for both departments is provided below.
KEY DATES & TRANSITION DETAILS
Permitting
January 2, 2026 - January 31, 2026
Permits will continue to be accepted, reviewed, and approved by the Town of Winter Park Building Division. Applications should be submitted as usual by emailing permits@wpgov.com. Payments will be made to the Town of Winter Park.
Beginning February 1, 2026
All permit applications must be submitted through the Town of Granby's online permit portal: Cloudpermit Portal. Permits will no longer be accepted by the Town of Winter Park after February 1, 2026.
Inspections
The Town of Granby will conduct inspections for any building permit in Granby issued on or after January 2, 2026. Starting February 1, 2026, Granby will perform inspections for all open building permits in Granby, including those previously inspected by the Town of Winter Park Building Division.
Permits with a BLD number: Inspections will continue to be requested through Accela.
Permits with a Cloudpermit number: Inspections will be requested through Cloudpermit.
