Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment, a quasi-judicial body, consists of five members and two alternates appointed by the Town Council to serve four-year terms. The members of the Board of Adjustment shall be those individuals appointed to serve as the Planning Commission.

The Board hears and makes decisions on requests by property owners for variances from zoning regulations. The most common requests for variances relate to setbacks, fences, and building heights. The Board also hears and makes decisions on appeals from any order, requirement, decision or determination made by any administrative official charged with enforcement of the zoning ordinance.

Board of Adjustment meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month immediately following the 8 a.m. Planning Commission hearing in the Town Hall Chambers, 50 Vasquez Road. These meetings are open to the public.
