E-Bike Rebate

Did you know the Town of Winter Park has an e-bike rebate program? Updates to the program were made in 2026 to support the local workforce and provide additional, sustainable transportation options in Grand County.

 

Requirements:

Employment Requirements:

  • Applicant must work for an employer with a storefront business physically located within Winter Park town limits, open to the public, with posted regular operating hours.
    • The employer must not be a home-based or a residential unit/short-term rental.
    • The employer must be registered with the Colorado Secretary of State and be in good standing.
    • There is no limit on the number of employees per business who may apply.
  • Remote work does not qualify for the program.
  • Applicant must submit a current paystub showing W-2 wages from a qualifying employer.

Residency

  • Applicant must reside in Winter Park, Fraser, or Tabernash, verified by a driver's license, state ID, utility bill, or lease showing current address.

Purchase

  • The receipt for the e-bike must show it was purchased in the current calendar year.
    • If the e-bike was purchased in-store in Winter Park, the applicant must submit a photo of the receipt.
    • If the e-bike was purchased in-store outside Winter Park, the applicant must submit a receipt and a timestamped photo of the applicant with the bike in Winter Park.
    • If the e-bike was purchased online, the applicant must submit a receipt and proof of delivery to a Grand County address

Incomplete applications will not be processed until all required documents are submitted.

Terms and Conditions of Program:

  • Eligible e-bikes are limited to Class 1, 2, or 3 electric bicycles as defined under Colorado law (C.R.S. § 42-1-102(28.5)) — motor-assisted bicycles with operable pedals, a motor of 750 watts or less, and a maximum motor-assisted speed of 28 mph. Electric motorcycles, mopeds, and other motor vehicles requiring registration or a motorcycle endorsement do not qualify
  • New e-bikes only
  • The rebate is $300 with one rebate per person.
  • There is a $5,000 funding cap for the calendar year, with rebates provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the cap is reached, the program will close for the year. No waitlist will be created.
  • All applicants must submit all required documents via our online form.
  • The program closes October 31, 2026, or when the $5,000 funding cap is reached, whichever comes first.
