Hideaway Place Apartment - Live Lottery June 10

Have you been waiting for an affordable rental option to become available in Winter Park? It is time to apply for the Winter Park Rental Housing Lottery. Applications are open from May 23 to June 3, 2022. The ‘lottery’ will be held on June 10 and applicants will be notified if they were selected via email.

About the Available Rental:

  • 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom
  • Located in Hideaway Place Apartment Complex, directly behind Fireside Marketplace
  • Rent is $1,470/month, water included
  • Electricity billed separately through the Town
  • Year-long lease
  • Lease includes two parking passes for assigned resident parking

About the Lottery on June 10:

The lottery will use a random number generator to sequence all applications into a priority order for apartment openings through June 2023. Applicants will receive draws in the lottery based on length of Grand County residence, current address, and current employment location (click here for more details on draws). Assigned draws will be posted on the Town’s website and will be emailed ahead of the lottery on June 10.

The lottery will be live at Town Hall on June 10 at 3:00 p.m. and streamed on Zoom. Click below to join and register for the Zoom.

You are invited to a Zoom webinar.
When: Jun 10, 2022 03:00 PM Mountain Time (US and Canada)

This lottery will not give priority to the Fireside Creek Apartments (currently under construction). These applications will be managed at a later time by the Town's development partners, Winter Park Partners.

Virtual Tour:

Due to the demand, no tours of the apartment will be given prior to the lottery, but those interested can find a virtual tour of the apartment online. Those selected in the lottery will be given a chance to tour the apartment before making a final decision. For applicants looking to apply with a roommate, each person should fill out the housing application.

Eligibility:

To be eligible, applicants must be employed full-time (32 hours/week or 1,200 hours/year) by a Grand County-based employer and pass a background check. Local employment is verified annually. Questions can be emailed to Assistant Town Manager, Alisha Janes at housing@wpgov.com.

Applications were due June 3, 2022, at 5:00 p.m.
