Parks & Forests
Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, Winter Park is home to world-class recreation, from local parks, national parks, multi-use trails to ski resorts.
The Fraser Valley Metropolitan Recreation District offers a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for children and adults throughout the Fraser Valley and Winter Park area. Visit the Recreation District website for a list of activities.
The Grand Park Community Recreation Center is located in Fraser just outside the town of Winter Park. The Recreation Center, which opened in December of 2009, contains a natatorium with a 20-foot loop slide, spray and play feature, a lazy river, zero-depth entry pool and a four-lane, 25-yard lap pool.
The center also includes a whirlpool, sauna and steam room, a climbing wall, a multi-sport gymnasium, and a cardio, circuit training and free-weight area linked to a running/walking track. Drop-in childcare is available, as well as locker rooms and family changing rooms.
