Speed Limit Reduced Throughout Winter Park

Please be advised:

The Colorado Department of Transportation has reduced the speed limit throughout Winter Park to 30 MPH, 45 MPH between Winter Park and Fraser, and 30 throughout Fraser.

After years of collaboration, advocacy, and traffic studies, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has approved lower speed limits through Winter Park and Fraser.

This wasn’t a quick or easy process. The Towns of Winter Park and Fraser worked alongside the Northwest Transportation Planning Region (NWTRP) to build a data-driven case that these changes would improve safety for everyone who lives, works, and travels through our communities.

A special thank you to NWTPR Chair Brian Cerkvenik for his leadership and persistence in seeing this effort through to the finish line. Your dedication helped turn years of work into real results.

This is a great example of what can be accomplished when local communities, regional partners, and CDOT work together toward a common goal.

Here’s to making our mountain communities safer for residents and visitors alike.

Thank you for following the new speed limits and keeping our communities safer!
